A plugin powered by Spaceclaim especially designed for automatic creation of turbomachinery and volute solid models
- Blade geo and surface iges files from TURBOdesign1 can be directly imported into TURBOdesign 3DLab.
- Easy creation of solid disk and shroud casing (for shrouded pump) based on hub and shroud curves from geo file.
- Easy creation of fillets and whole wheel geometry by defining the total number of blades.
- Fill gaps and fix missing surfaces in problematic volute geometry easily.
Final geometries can be exported in most widely used CAD formats including iges, stp, parasolid, CATIA, ProE and Solidworks etc.
Turbodesign 3DLab Workflow
Step 1 – Import hub and shroud curves from Turbodesign1 geo file.
Step 2 – Create solid hub and shroud models based on a default cross section shape or user customed cross section shape.
Step3 – Import blade surface file and extend the blade surface to intersect the solid hub or shroud model.
Step 4 – Create solid blade and combine it with solid hub or shroud model.
Step 5 – Select edges and define fillet radius to create fillets.
Step 6 – Define the number of blades to create whole wheel geometry and trim extra part if necessary.
Step 7 – Export the final geometry.
