ADT Performs the Hydrodynamic Design of a Submergible Multi-stage Pump for Leading Oil & Gas Manufacturer

Advanced Design Technology's (ADT's) Engineering Department carried out the hydrodynamic design of a submergible multi-stage pump. The customer, a leading manufacturer of ESP pumps, set requirements at design points and a maximum target axial thrust at shut-off conditions. The final design achieved a system efficiency significantly above the target set by the customer.

This consultancy required the use of ADT’s preliminary turbomachinery design tool, TURBOdesign Pre, as well as its unique blade design software, TURBOdesign1. TURBOdesign Pre is a 1D sizing code for the preliminary design and analysis of various turbomachinery components. TURBOdesign 1 uses the 3D Inverse Design approach to compute the blade shape for a given blade loading distribution.
