News / ADT to Exhibit at LSTM Turbomachinery Course

Advanced Design Technology, Ltd., or ADT, a global leader in the development of advanced turbomachinery design methods, is delighted to announce that they will participate at the LSTM Turbomachinery Course in Erlangen, Germany, on February 28th – March 3rd 2011.

The turbomachinery course, held every two years at the Friedrich Alexander Universitat in Erlangen, features numerous classes from professors and industrial experts on the development, design and analysis of turbomachinery components. This year focus will be on fans, pumps, gas and steam turbines and turbochargers.

At this year course Prof. Mehrdad Zangeneh, Director of Advanced Design Technology, will hold two lectures; the first one on the development of turbomachinery component via the 3D inverse design methodology, and the second on the control of 3D flow phenomena in radial and mixed-flow turbomachinery via application of the 3D inverse design methodology.

ADT is also pleased to announce that TURBOdesign Suite 5.0 will be presented to the participants; this new release introduces new modules such as TURBOdesign Pre – a 1D sizing code, TURBOdesign Volute – a 2D inverse design code for volutes and TURBOdesign Optima – an automatic optimisation platform for multi-point / multi-objective design of turbomachinery components.

During the course, ADT’s engineers will be at hand to demonstrate how by using TURBOdesign Suite you can achieve better know-how transfer between projects and design teams, significant reduction in design time, higher performance and reduction in noise.
